The Permanent Partner Visa (subclass 801) and (Subclass 100) allows those individuals to live in Australia who is a spouse or de facto partner of either Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

What are the requirements for the permanent Partner Visas (subclass 801) and (Subclass 100)?

For Visa Applicants

  • You must hold a temporary partner visa (Subclass 820) or (Subclass 309) if applying for the permanent partner visa (Subclass 801) or (Subclass 100) respectively
  • You must be in the continuing relationship with your spouse or de facto partner unless the relationship has been ended under special circumstances
  • You must have abided by all the laws and conditions of the 820 or 309 visa you held
  • You must not have a visa cancelled or refused while living in Australia on the 820 or 309 visa
  • You must meet health and character requirements

For Sponsors

  • You must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand, citizen
  • You must be 18 years old or older
  • You must meet the character requirement.
