Corporate Immigration Services

If your business would like to sponsor overseas citizens to work, undertake workplace based training or professional development in Australia there are a range of sponsorship and visa options available.

What are main requirements to sponsor a worker?

  • The employer needs to demonstrate that it is unable to find a suitable person in Australia to fill the role through labour market testing.
  • For most employer sponsored visas the occupation must be listed on the relevant Skilled Occupation List. An employer may be able to negotiate a Labour Agreement for certain occupations that are not on the Skilled Occupation List. For highly skilled roles that are not listed on the Skilled Occupation List employers
  • The employer must meet certain eligibility criteria to apply for sponsorship.
  • The employer must nominate the worker for a particular position.
  • The employee must have the skills, qualifications and experience for the nominated occupation.
  • The visa application has to be lodged.

Training Visa (Subclass 407)

The Subclass 407 is a temporary visa allowing applicants to undertake occupational training or professional development in Australia.

Accredited Sponsorship

Accredited Sponsorship enables Australian business to benefit from priority visa processing when employing overseas workers in Australia.

Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Subclass 482)

The Subclass 482 or TSS visa is a temporary work visa that allows skilled workers to work for their sponsor.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Subclass 187)

The Subclass 187 is a permanent visa for applicants in certain occupations that are nominated by their employers in regional areas.

Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) Visa (Subclass 400)

The Subclass 400 is a temporary visa allowing applicants to undertake highly specialised work usually for up to three months.

Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408)

The Temporary Activity Subclass 408 Visa is a short stay visa allowing people to undertake various short-term activities in Australia.
